In the harbor city Lendor, there is a master fisher named “Fishing Master Halmos,” and by becoming his student through a quest, you will be able to “Fish.” The fish available at each “Fishing Spot” in the world of Astoltia vary, so try fishing at various spots during your adventure to master the art of fishing.
—If you accept the quest from Fishing Master Halmos, he will give you a “Fishing Rod” and “Lure.”
—After becoming his student, you can enjoy fishing mini-games by going to the fishing spots marked on the map.
—At each fishing spot, you can see the fish that can be caught there and their rarity. The rarer the fish, the harder the catch.
—In the fishing mini-game “Fishing Battle,” you can catch fish by pulling or loosening the line while checking the “bite strength” of the fish on the rod.
—If you land a fine fish, you will obtain not only the fish, but also fishing EXP. Your “Fishing Level” will increase as you earn fishing EXP, allowing you to learn special fishing skills.
—Deliver the fish you catch to Fishing Master Halmos to receive fishing EXP plus “Fish Coins.” Depending on your Fishing Level, you may also be rewarded better fishing equipment.
