Famitsu has published its estimated physical game software and hardware sales data for Japan for the week of September 13, 2021 to September 19, 2021.
Tales of Arise for PlayStation 4 was the highest selling release of the week, adding another 33,128 retail sales. Neptunia x Senran Kagura: Ninja Wars for PlayStation 4 was the highest selling new release, opening at 18,789 retail sales. It was followed by BanG Dream! Girls Band Party! for Nintendo Switch, which opened at 15,398 sales.
On the hardware side, the Switch family sold 40,068 units, the PlayStation 5 family sold 16,084 units, the Xbox Series family sold 4,376 units, and the PlayStation 4 family sold 747 units. PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series consoles continue to face stock issues.
