ARIKA has published a set of Fighting EX Layer gameplay videos that appear to tease a possible new version of the game with side-stepping / 3D movement.
“There are just 10 days until EVO Japan 2023,” a note at the end of the first video reads. “As you can see, the specifications are not yet finalized. Some textures no longer displayed when we tried to reflect the chaos on background objects. The effects are still a work-in-progress. Yes, even if you witness an empty space on the day of the event, let’s try to be gentle about it and say, ‘Ah, it must have been tough.'”
A second video was also published, which solves the first video’s background textures problem. It was captured in 2K resolution at 60 frames per second and a bitrate of 18,055 kilobytes per second using PlayStation 5‘s recording function. The first video was captured in 4K resolution at 60 frames per second and a bitrate 50,984 kilobytes per second. (ARIKA forgot to hit 4K button for the second video.)
Fighting EX Layer is available now for PlayStation 4, PC via Steam, and arcade.
