The latest issue of Weekly Famitsu has new information on the newly announced Utawarereumono title Monochrome Mobius: Toki no Taika.
Get the details below, via the magazine’s interview with Aquaplus producer Naoya Shimokawa.
- Regarding why Monochrome Mobius does not bear the Utawarerumono name: “The name Utawarerumono has started to become the title of a theme rather than that of a work, and we felt it’s become an expression for a great man whose name will leave a mark on history.”
- “We’re also tackling various new challenges with this latest entry, so we want it be seen as something all-new.”
- “The songs in the game are about 90 percent new music. We’re taking a different direction from the music we put together for the trilogy.”
- “As for the genre, please look forward to more information (there is little I can say right now), but the story gets started with a surprising truth when Shunya appears.”
- “Development is currently 85 to 90 percent complete.”
- “There are other new Utawarerumono-related titles in development, but we’re focusing on this one first.”
Platforms and a release date for Monochrome Mobius: Toki no Taika have yet to be announced.
