Rodea the Sky Soldier, formerly a Wii and 3DS title, is now coming to Wii U and 3DS in spring 2015, the latest issue of Famitsu reveals.
The Wii U version will cost 7,200 yen and the 3DS version 5,800 yen.
In Japan, the game was previously known as Tenkuu no Kishi Rodea. It is now called Rodea the Sky Soldier. However, Japanese blogs list the first-print Wii U version of the game as including the Wii version of Tenkuu no Kishi Rodea.
The Prope-developed, Kadokawa-published action game features free 360-degree movement throughout the skies and colossal-size boss battles. It puts players in the role of Rodea, a machine soldier who lost his memory and is discovered and reactivated by Ion. Both characters, as well as a mysterious girl named Cecilia, appear in Famitsu.
The game is produced by Kadokawa Games‘ Yoshimi Yasuda and directed by Kadokawa’s Zin Hasegawa, who was formerly the producer. Development is 85 percent complete.
Given that we haven’t heard from it in a while, we took the liberty of translating the story and character details from the game’s old website. Get that below.
